................PATEMTED PRODUCTION SYSTEM

RESOLING SYSTEM WITH COLOURED WEAR GAUGE

Thanks to our long experience making and resoling climbing shoes we have developed an innovative production system that combines two overimposed soles of differente colours. That gives the climbing shoe the necessary stiffness for its precise resoling, avoiding unwanted deformations in the process of unglueing the worn-out sole to replace it with a new one.

The main reason for a climber to be unsure about when his or her climbing shoes should be resoled is the lack of a clear boundary line showing where the sole thickness ends and where the rand starts. This is due to the fact that soles and rands are both black and must be fussed together as much as possible in order to ensure the maximun performance of the shoe.

Because of that, the climber continues climbing with already too worn-out soled and, when he or she carries the shoes to a resoler to have them repaired, the rand is overused, nipped and sometimes ruined.? That means that the shoe has already lost its shape and even some of its parts.

Our innovation allows to spot at a glimpse the wear of the climbing sole (the one that contacts the rock), thanks to the ?wear-line? that it forms against the inner, red-coloured sole.

When we to replace a worn-out sole, we reactivate it with infrared heat and start pulling from the purpose-made tab at the back of the sole.

In a few seconds we will have the old sole completely detached from the shoe. The shoe will remain fully assembled, without having suffered the slightest change in shape or fit.

We clean the residucal glue from the coloured sole and spread new glue on both soles. After? allowing it to dry, we reactivate and glue the new sole with the required pressure.

This procedure saves approximately a 25% of resoling time, but most important, it does not change at all the shape and fit the shoe had prior to resoling.
